Wally’s Optical Talks Eyewear Line and How Fashion Meets Vision

Taking a new approach to eyewear design Wally’s Optical is creating a brand of true vision where health meets fashion and functionality. Wally Mouzahem, business owner and designer says, "The future is sustainable and sustainable fashion is the future, why not start with our vision.”

In 2018 Wally opened his store, located at 1586 Bloor St West, Toronto, and found inspiration to learn how to design and cut custom frames. His journey started with plastic but decided to think outside of the box and took a woodworking course and voila. Today Wally has been making custom wood frames for about 2 years using airplane plywood that is light, strong, durable and comfortable. Custom made according to clients’ measurements, and never need adjustment as they are made out of wood and treated to last.

Wally’s collection ‘Bespoke Wood Eyewear’ will be featured at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival on June 25th at 8:00 PM popup fashion show hosted by Canada Fashion Network.

The show is free and located at Yorkville Park called the Festival Village street-view stage, 115 Cumberland St, Toronto. Pairing music and fashion to liven the scene in the Yorkville area, you will be invited to arrive before the pop-up fashion show to discover what the jazz festival has to offer.
