Make it COUNT.

Community Voices Matter

We at @canadafashionnetwork want to hear from you. Join the movement to change the Canadian Fashion Industry.

The Canadian fashion industry has been hiding in the shadows of our nation, and it is creating limitations for our creatives and entrepreneurs. It is time for us to step into the spotlight. Advocacy is important to implement long-lasting change in the Canadian fashion industry. All creatives must work in unison with one another, understand the importance of the current and ongoing issues within the industry, as well as, help educate individuals outside of the industry to make an impact to better our Canadian fashion culture and its future. Join the conversation and contribute to the Canadian fashion industry and its future.

The future of the Canadian fashion industry requires everyone to work with one another to implement real change for a better outcome. We need to invest in “Made in Canada” fashion and production, but that starts with each and everyone of you. We must work together, stand up for more opportunities, resources and support.
Together your support makes it possible for Canada Fashion Network/ Réseau de la mode du Canada, to continue to do the work we love to do for all of you! We believe that our mission is relevant now more than ever, in unifying and making opportunities accessible to all Canadians.

We need FASHION recognized by the government as part of the ministry of culture, tourism, heritage and sport portfolio. The amount of young students going into school with no jobs available after graduation is a huge problem that needs development. The fashion industry contributes to economic impact in each province that does not have access to any existing funding.

Fashion workers need to be supported. We want to hear from you. Please share your stories with us to show the government there we need to be heard. As we wait for government to reopen and for next steps with our past HOC Petition E-3505 we are being proactive and approaching Ontario first.

Tell us your story about your experience in the fashion industry and how you were affected by Covid, if you lost your job, if you hired people and couldn’t afford to keep employees due to covid, did you switch into making PPE during covid, did you get CERB or CRB, did you receive small business relief, or any financial aid.
